Switzerland unveiled its roster for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 on Wednesday, headlined by Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi and New Jersey Devils forward Nico Hischier. Switzerland is looking to win a medal at the Olympics for the first time since taking bronze in 1948.
The Swiss are breaking up their gold medal ski combination from worlds as the team event makes its Olympic debut Monday at the Milan Cortina Games.
A bid by Switzerland to host the 2038 Winter Olympics could be finalised by 2027 if the local political consultation process is successfully completed by the end of this year, the International Olympic Committee said on Wednesday.
