The biggest retailer in the country is expanding - and getting a facelift. Walmart announced this week that it plans to open around 20 new stores and remodel 650 existing locations from 2026 to 2027.
The first Walmart store opened in 1962 and it was the No. 1 retailer in the US by 1990.
